Job summary

Advance Auto Parts in Illinois is seeking an entry‑level Salesperson to support the DIY business and meet sales/service objectives. Strong knowledge of store systems, basic automotive parts knowledge, and the ability to source from stores, hubs, and suppliers are required. Part/full-time options available.

Fleet safety certification preferred. You will help customers in‑person and by phone, stock and maintain inventory, and provide DIY services such as battery installation and wiper fits.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment.
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Basic math skills and ability to interpret safety rules and manuals.
• English proficiency; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goal and help store achieve its sales goals.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Responsible for inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, Back stock, etc.
• Store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
