Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking an entry-level Salesperson to support the DIY business and meet sales and service objectives. The role requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive knowledge, and the ability to source from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers.

It can be part-time or full-time with fleet safety certification preferred. Key duties include assisting customers in-store and by phone, achieving sales goals, performing battery testing and installations, and maintaining

Qualifications

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus)
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customers and phone inquiries
• Meet personal sales goals and help store achieve its goals
• Provide DIY services such as battery installations and wiper installs
• Maintain store product and operational standards
• Handle inventory processes including truck put away, cycle counts, and back stock
• Keep store clean and stocked; safely deliver parts to customers as needed
