Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking a Salesperson to support the DIY customer experience both in-store and over the phone. The role involves basic automotive knowledge, sourcing parts, and maintaining inventory while delivering strong sales performance.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of sales experience in retail, basic math skills, and the ability to operate POS and parts lookup systems. Weekend availability may be required to meet store goals.

Qualifications

• Speak and write English; communicate effectively with customers, peers and management.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Use basic math accurately for transactions and parts calculations.
• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customers and phone inquiries.
• Meet personal sales goals and support store sales targets.
• Perform DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain inventory processes including truck put away, cycle counts, Back stock, etc.
