Job summary

Imagine Children's Museum is seeking a friendly Guest Services Attendant to facilitate POS transactions and assist with food preparation at Divy’s Grab and Go on the 3rd floor.

This part-time role requires a cheerful demeanor, ability to work with families and children, and a commitment to health and safety standards in a fast-paced museum setting. You will handle daily opening and closing tasks and help collect zip codes while maintaining a clean, welcoming service area.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience desired.
• Food service experience preferred.
• Current Washington State Food Handlers Card required or provided training.

Responsibilities

• Create a guest-ready atmosphere at the service counter and Commons Area.
• Assist in daily opening and closing tasks.
• Support guest needs on the 3rd floor.
• Maintain a clean and safe Grab and Go area per health standards.
• Collect Zip Code information from guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

The Guest Services Attendant works with the public by facilitating POS transactions and food preparation at Divy’s Grab and Go.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

• Creating a \"guest ready\" atmosphere at the service counter and throughout the 3rd floor Commons Area
• Assist in the daily opening and closing tasks – scheduled and as needed
• Support the needs of guests on the 3rd floor
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in the Grab and Go, this will include cleaning and maintenance that aligns with Museum and Snohomish County Health Department standards
• Collect Zip Code information
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Requirements

Position Requirements:

• A friendly and outgoing personality that thrives being in an active and vibrant work environment
• Comfortable working with active children and families and redirecting behavior as necessary
• Attention to detail, particularly regarding health and safety standards and expectations
• Good communication skills
• Comfortable using a POS system and basic cash handling
• Adaptable to multi-tasking between the kitchen, service counter and Commons area
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to direct volunteers when needed
• Possess initiative and the ability to self-direct, not requiring continuous supervision
• Ability to adapt to changing conditions and assigned tasks throughout the workday

Education and/or Experience:

• Customer service experience desired.

• High level of public contact.

This is a part-time position, onsite in Everett. The pay is $20 an hour. The schedule is 15-20 hours per week, including weekends, and evenings as required.
