Job summary

Paylocity is seeking an Experience Host in Everett to deliver outstanding customer service to museum visitors and help maintain exhibits. This part-time, on-site role requires weekend and some evening availability, with a seasonal end date in January 2027.

You will welcome guests, answer questions, and assist with events or rentals while working with a collaborative team in a dynamic visitor environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year customer service, retail, guest management, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting in another museum or cultural institution, preschool or daycare, after school, summer camp or other family-oriented setting preferred.

Position Summary:

The Experience Host is responsible for providing excellent customer service to all museum visitors and monitoring and maintaining museum exhibits and props. This position is primarily responsible for interacting with visitors to ensure they feel welcomed and oriented, monitoring and maintaining the museum’s exhibits, and working cooperatively with a dynamic team to ensure visitors have a positive experience.

Education and/or Experience

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in a typical interactive exhibit environment with moderate noise levels.

Physical Demands:

• High level of public contact.
• Regularly required to stand and walk for long periods of time, climb ladders and stairs.
• Occasionally lift and or move up to 30 pounds.
• Speak and hear sufficiently to communicate clearly in person, over the telephone, and in small groups.
• Mental stamina for problem solving and dealing with stressful situations; prioritizing multiple tasks; interpreting and applying oral/written instructions.
• Ability to bend, carry, reach to the side, front and overhead, push, pull, walk, stand, twist and squat, grab, squeeze are repetitive motions required of the position.
• Occasionally exposed to outdoor elements including high and low temperatures, precipitation, and wind.
• Regularly exposed to moderate noise in and around exhibits.
• Occasionally exposed to small and/or enclosed spaces.

This is a part-time position, 16-20 hours per week, onsite in Everett. The pay is $20.00 an hour. This is a seasonal position ending in January 2027.

Candidates must be available to work on weekends, and an occasional Monday. Additionally, candidates must be able to work some evenings.
