Job summary

Acadia Healthcare is seeking a Divisional Risk Specialist to lead patient safety and risk management across facilities. This role provides expert guidance on policy development, investigations, and regulatory readiness, ensuring proactive safety and excellence throughout Acadia’s network.

You will monitor incident data, analyze trends, and collaborate with CEOs, COOs, & Risk leaders to implement evidence-based actions that minimize risk and improve care quality. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field or 5 years of risk leadership at a healthcare facility.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in psychiatric healthcare operations and/or healthcare risk management.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, CARF, DEA, and state/local standards.
• Experience conducting complex healthcare-focused investigations.
• Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Monitor incident volumes and trends at assigned facilities and identify deviations from targets.
• Analyze incident trends and help develop remediation plans to reduce safety risks.
• Coach facility leadership to implement risk management best practices with measurable trend reductions.
• Coordinate with Risk leaders to receive adverse event information and guide investigations.
