Job description

We are partnering with a well-established, privately held industrial manufacturing organization serving critical infrastructure markets to identify a President to lead a major operating division. This is a high-impact opportunity for a hands‑on executive who enjoys strengthening operating discipline, developing leaders, and transforming complex, multi‑site manufacturing businesses.

The President will have broad responsibility for the division’s strategic, operational, commercial, and financial performance. The right leader will be equally comfortable on the manufacturing floor, reviewing customer and project commitments, developing the leadership team, and driving full P&L performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the overall performance of a sizable, multi‑site manufacturing division
  • Build a safety‑first, accountable, and performance‑driven operating culture
  • Improve quality, production scheduling, on‑time delivery, throughput, asset utilization, labor productivity, and maintenance reliability
  • Establish consistent operating processes, KPIs, management cadence, and performance expectations across facilities
  • Drive profitable growth, margin improvement, cash flow, working‑capital discipline, and effective capital allocation
  • Partner across commercial, estimating, engineering, project management, supply chain, and operations to translate demand and backlog into executable, profitable results
  • Assess and develop the leadership organization, strengthen succession depth, and build the capabilities required for future growth
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers and ensure the organization consistently delivers on its commitments
Ideal Background
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in industrial manufacturing, engineered products, infrastructure products, building products, heavy manufacturing, or a related asset‑intensive environment
  • Significant general‑management and full P&L ownership experience
  • Multi‑site manufacturing leadership, ideally across multiple states
  • Experience in an engineered‑to‑order, make‑to‑order, or project‑driven businessDemonstrated success improving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, asset performance, and financial results
  • Strong commercial judgment and customer credibility, with experience balancing growth, capacity, margin, and risk
  • Proven ability to lead meaningful operational transformation and build high‑performing leadership teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent exceptional operating experience

This position is based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area and requires an onsite leadership presence, along with regular travel to other manufacturing locations.

This is not a behind‑the‑desk role. It is best suited for a visible, data‑driven, low‑ego leader who wants to remain close to the plants, people, customers, and operating details that drive performance.
