Job description

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Divisional Operations Manager to provide operational leadership, direction, and accountability across its MRO division. This individual will oversee 12 site leaders and their respective facilities, driving consistent operational performance, employee development, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement across the network. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience leading multiple facilities, preferably within an industrial, manufacturing, MRO, or similarly complex operational environment. This leader must be comfortable working directly with site teams, coaching and holding facility leaders accountable, resolving operational challenges, and communicating effectively with employees, site leadership, and executive management. The role requires both a hands-on operational approach and the strategic perspective to identify trends, standardize processes, and implement improvements that support long-term business growth.

Divisional Operations Manager Responsibilities
  • Multi-Site Operational Leadership: Provide operational oversight and direction to 12 site leaders and their respective MRO facilities, ensuring alignment with divisional objectives, company standards, and business priorities.
  • Site Leader Development and Accountability: Coach, develop, and hold site leaders accountable for operational performance, safety, quality, customer service, productivity, and financial results.
  • Operational Performance and KPIs: Monitor and improve key performance indicators, including safety, quality, on-time delivery (OTD), turnaround time (TAT), productivity, and cost performance.
  • Hands-On Problem-Solving: Work directly with site leaders and frontline teams to understand facility-specific challenges, assess operational issues, establish priorities, and implement effective solutions.
  • Process Standardization: Establish consistent operating procedures, performance expectations, and best practices across the MRO network while accounting for the unique needs and challenges of individual locations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead and participate in formal problem-solving and process improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, efficiency, customer satisfaction, and cost effectiveness.
  • Resource and Inventory Management: Oversee resource planning, workflow coordination, and inventory management to support operational requirements and customer commitments.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Serve as a key communication link between facility teams and executive leadership, providing clear updates on operational performance, challenges, improvement initiatives, and business needs.
  • Relationship Building: Establish credibility and strong working relationships with site leaders, technicians, frontline employees, and cross-functional partners while maintaining appropriate accountability.
  • Change Management: Lead the implementation of new processes, operating standards, and improvement initiatives across multiple locations, supporting consistent adoption and execution.
  • Strategic Planning and Business Growth: Evaluate performance trends across the division, identify opportunities for improvement, and support initiatives that strengthen operational scalability and contribute to revenue growth.
  • Policy and Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, operating procedures, quality standards, safety expectations, and applicable requirements.
  • Project Execution: Lead and support divisional initiatives, ensuring clear ownership, timely execution, and measurable results.
  • Travel and Operational Responsiveness: Maintain a regular presence at MRO facilities and travel as needed to address operational issues, support site leaders, and respond to changing business priorities.
Divisional Operations Manager Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Six or more years of operational leadership experience.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple facilities, locations, or operational teams; direct multi-site leadership experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), aerospace, or similarly complex operational environment is preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of operations management, process improvement, resource planning, and workforce leadership.
  • Experience managing operational performance, developing leaders, and driving accountability for business results.
Leadership and Technical Competencies
  • Strong understanding of KPI management, operational analysis, and performance improvement.
  • Experience implementing standardized processes and driving continuous improvement across multiple locations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational management systems.
Frequent travel is a significant requirement of this position.
