Our client is seeking an experienced project management professional that is ready to become a divisional leader for our General Contracting Division. This role is responsible for the operational, financial, and people leadership of the division while ensuring safe, profitable, and high-quality execution of all projects. The Divisional Manager provides strategic direction for project delivery, develops future leaders, drives continuous improvement, and partners with executive leadership to achieve sustainable growth. This position is a hands-on management role with project responsibilities.
About the Role
Lead the operational performance of the General Contracting Division by delivering exceptional project execution, building high-performing teams, improving profitability, and creating scalable operating systems that support long-term growth.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the successful execution of all projects while improving scheduling, resource utilization, quality, and consistency. Will operate the duties of a Senior Project Manager, as well, until the division grows to a point where those functions are absorbed by other teammates.
- Own division profitability through forecasting, budget management, gross margin improvement, and cost control.
- Lead, coach, and develop Project Managers, Superintendents, and project teams while building succession strength.
- Maintain executive-level client relationships, resolve escalated issues, and increase repeat business.
- Support & Perform estimating, strategic pursuits, backlog development, and market expansion.
- Standardize processes, implement KPIs, leverage technology, and drive operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive construction leadership experience in precision concrete, industrial, and/or heavy civil construction.
- Experience with precision concrete in industrial facilities.
- Proven ability to evaluate and estimate pit work costs and scope.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple complex projects and operational teams.
- Experience estimating and leading projects.
- Strong financial, contractual, and operational management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
- OSHA certification and valid driver's license.
