Job summary

Covenant Logistics seeks an experienced accounting leader to drive timely and accurate financial reporting under GAAP. You will guide decisions by partnering with business unit leaders, establish and enforce internal controls, and protect assets through robust policy execution.

You will coordinate monthly close for the division, review Blackline journals, prepare budgets and TM1 forecasts, and communicate results to Executive Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 7+ years of related and progressive experience.
• 2+ years supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly close for assigned division; journalizing entries, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Reconcile and certify journals, accounts and tasks in Blackline as assigned.
• Review and approve Blackline Journals and reconciliations for direct reports.
• Analyze financial data; prepare reports, variance analyses and management presentations.
• Communicate financial results to Executive Management; coordinate Divisional Financial Meetings.
