Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Contract Specialist to support the management and administration of contractual agreements at the divisional level. You will partner with divisional leadership, faculty and staff to facilitate the full contract lifecycle from drafting and review to negotiation and administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two years of related experience required.
• Additional education may substitute for required experience or education per policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, including service, vendor, and research agreements.
• Coordinate with central Procurement to ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and best practices.
• Maintain accurate contract records and databases.
• Gather information from leadership, faculty and staff for contract preparation and execution.
• Serve as liaison between division and central Procurement to ensure policy consistency.
• Monitor contract performance and maintain records.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Advise internal stakeholders on procurement and contract processes, documentation, workflows, vendor onboarding, payment terms, and related issues.
• Support vendor onboarding and resolution of vendor, PO, invoice, or payment-related issues.
• Help develop standard procedures and templates to promote compliant procurement and contract management.
