Job summary

PulteGroup is seeking a Division Staff Accountant to support the Westborough, MA division. This onsite role handles journal entries, monthly closings, reconciliations, and preparation of tax packages with close collaboration with Shared Services.

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting and at least two years of accounting experience, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum 2 years general accounting or finance experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and assist month-end close.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and monthly reconciliations.
• Coordinate work with National Shared Services.
• Prepare supporting documentation for the Division’s SOX binders.
• Process and code customer closing proceeds; assist with accounts payable workflow.
• Assist with land budget maintenance and processing / coding of requisitions for payment.
• Prepare income and balance sheet variance analyses for finance leaders.
• Contribute to internal financial reports, cash flow projections and forecasts.
• Prepare year-end tax package and various financial reports.
