Job summary

PulteGroup, Inc. division Innovative Construction Group in Mission Viejo, CA is seeking a Staff Accountant to support monthly close, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and SOX documentation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Finance or Accounting and at least 2 years of accounting experience, with strong analytical and communication skills; you will prepare journal entries, reports and year-end tax packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting (or related field).
• Minimum 2 years general accounting or finance experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepares monthly journal entries.
• Maintains general ledger accounts and prepares monthly reconciliations.
• Coordinates work with National Shared Services.
• Prepares and maintains supporting documentation for the Division's SOX binders.
• Prepares income and balance sheet variance analyses for review.
• Assists with internal financial reports, cash flow projections and forecasts.
• Prepares year-end tax package and various financial reports.
