Qualifications

• Minimum of 8-10 years purchasing/managerial experience.
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or materials management; supply chain certification preferred.
• Analytical and technical skills to understand business practices and automation opportunities.
• Advanced computer skills and understanding of electronic processing.
• Understanding of cost accounting and practical application.
• Knowledge of import processes and international logistics.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be an innovator and embrace lean principles and practices.
• Travel required ~25%.
• Must be a US citizen or have US permanent resident status.

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs the Division's procurement of raw materials, supplies, equipment or services.
• Establishes supplier selection criteria based on price, quality, delivery, certifications, and compliance with regulations.
• Works with suppliers to develop continuous improvement programs for quality, delivery, service and price.
• Develops pipeline with commodity managers for risk reduction and cost savings.
• Develops and benchmarks best practices among suppliers and maintains performance records.
• Ensures purchases and capital expenditures align with division strategies and budgets.
• Oversee import procurement including classification with HTS codes and country of origin.
• Monitor import costs, duties, tariffs, freight, and landed costs.
• Oversee freight recovery and use of negotiated rates.
