Job summary

Greif is seeking an experienced Division Reliability Engineer to enhance equipment reliability and maintenance performance across its Sustainable Fiber Solutions mill network. You will assess equipment, identify improvement opportunities, and help sites implement sustainable reliability practices.

You will partner with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations teams across six mills to reduce unplanned downtime and build stronger reliability capabilities across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Typically 12+ years of relevant engineering or reliability experience.
• Proven reliability engineering experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance, RCA, equipment criticality and condition monitoring.
• Experience with CMMS/EAM systems and maintenance work processes.
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to analyze downtime data and translate findings into improvements.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, training, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple sites and functions.
• Willingness to travel regularly to supported mill locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support reliability improvement plans across multiple facilities.
• Analyze downtime, maintenance, and equipment performance data to identify failures.
• Troubleshoot chronic equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
• Strengthen preventive and predictive maintenance, and condition monitoring practices.
• Develop reliability KPIs, reports, and dashboards for prioritization.
• Support CMMS/EAM systems and maintenance processes, data quality.
• Lead reliability assessments and Root Cause Problem Solving activities.
• Provide hands-on reliability and troubleshooting at mill locations when needed.
• Develop and share reliability standards, tools, and training across mills.
• Evaluate reliability technologies and support capital planning decisions.
