Responsibilities

• Drive the division's performance to ensure profitability and operational results.
• Sponsor continuous improvement processes and adoption of new technologies and product lines.
• Develop and direct a strategic plan to communicate goals and opportunities within the division.
• Provide leadership to ensure best practices and standards across all locations.
• Support division in sales-building activities and profit margin improvement.
• Review and analyze monthly operational results of all locations in the division.
• Oversee annual budgeting process for the division.
• Direct growth opportunities, including acquisitions and diversified product lines.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the division management team.
• Promote open communication to foster a respectful, collaborative culture.
• Travel up to 50% as needed.

Mid-Cape Home Centers traces its roots back to 1895, and today supplies professional builders, remodelers and homeowners in Massachusetts' South Shore, Cape Cod and the Islands with lumber and specialty building materials from its six locations in the southern coastal region of Massachusetts.

A Brief Overview

The Division President directs the sales and operations of a division to ensure profitability and operational results. This position provides leadership and direction to ensure best practices, strategic goals, and performance standards are shared and implemented throughout all locations.

Pay Range

$190,000 - $290,000 annually

What you will do

• Drive the performance of the division to ensure profitability and operational results.
• Sponsor continuous improvement processes and the implementation of new technologies and product lines.
• Develop and direct a strategic plan to communicate goals, strategies, opportunities, and successes within the division.
• Provide leadership and direction to ensure best practices, strategic goals, and performance standards are shared and implemented throughout locations.
• Support division in sales building activities and profit margin improvement.
• Review and analyze monthly operational results of all locations in the division.
• Oversee preparation of annual budgeting process for division.
• Direct growth opportunities, including potential acquisitions, Greenfields, and diversified product lines.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the division management team.
• Promote an open door policy and communicates effectively with all associates to foster a culture of respect and comradery.

Education Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business field or related discipline preferred.

Experience Qualifications

• 10+ years in building materials industry or related field required.

Skills and Abilities

• Expertise in all aspects of store operations, sales, purchasing, analysis, customer relations, and planning.
• Financial management; leading and directing management teams.

• Demonstrated ability to be a change agent, outgoing spokesperson and relationship builder.

Travel Requirements

• Ability to travel up to 50% as needed.
