Job summary

Division Director of Pharmacy Operations at HealthTrust Supply Chain within HCA Healthcare leads operational and financial performance across the division's facilities. Responsibilities include medication safety, patient safety, drug utilization, and regulatory compliance, with focus on cost reduction and revenue capture through standardization and IT integration.

The role requires a PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy, 5+ years as a hospital pharmacy director, and preferred experience with HCA.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D. is required.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least five (5) years’ experience as a pharmacy director in a hospital setting would be nice to have.
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience in HCA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to facilities regarding federal and state requirements/standards.
• Analyze and evaluate detailed pharmacy expense trends. Based on analysis, you will assist in the development of a strategy to reduce pharmacy expenses.
• Identify best practices and trends in the pharmaceutical industry, division and facilities, while suggesting/implementing activities to enhance pharmacy operations.
• Serve as an internal consultant on medication/patient safety and quality standards related to medication management.
• Assist in the development, implementation and sustainment of charge master standardization to maximize revenue capture and reduce billing errors.
• Work with colleagues to coordinate the implementation of division-wide standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization activities related to pharmacy IT applications.
• Coordinate disaster preparedness planning for division pharmacy departments.
• Evaluate opportunities for savings through division level contracting.
