Job summary

JM Test Systems seeks a Division Manager for the Mattoon facility to lead the division’s people, operations, customers, and results.

You will oversee administrative, sales, and technical staff, manage daily lab operations, and own budgeting, pricing, and gross profit to drive growth and compliance with ISO 17025 standards.

Reporting to the COO, you’ll foster safety, quality, and customer satisfaction while building a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Knowledge of ISO 17025 requirements for testing and calibration laboratories.
• Financial and business acumen: budgeting, forecasting, pricing, planning.
• Experience with enterprise software in a complex organization and core HR practices.
• Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and customer service skills; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Build and develop the team: hire, train, set goals, coach.

JobSummary — The Opportunity

Every JM Test Systems location succeeds or struggles basedon its leadership. As Division Manager for our Mattoon facility, you'll run thebusiness: its people, its operations, its customers, and its results.

In this role, you will lead administrative, sales, andtechnical staff, manage daily lab operations, and own the division's financialperformance, from budgets and pricing to gross profit and growth. Reporting toour COO and working alongside executive, quality, technical, and support teams,you'll make sure work is done safely, on time, to ISO 17025 quality standards,and to our customers' satisfaction.

KeyResponsibilities & Outcomes

• Leaddaily operations. Direct lab operations, projects, and services, plan anddelegate work, and use production reporting to balance workloads so work iscompleted on time and to customer satisfaction.
• Ownfinancial performance. Manage budgets, forecasts, spending, inventory, andpricing within corporate guidelines, and use financial and sales data to growrevenue and gross profit.
• Build anddevelop the team. Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate staff, set cleargoals and performance standards, and build a culture of trust, respect, andaccountability.
• Keeppeople safe and compliant. Oversee safety training and ensure compliancewith company policies and standards including ISO 17025, NAIL, OSHA, NFPA 70E,ASME, ANSI, ASTM, and IEEE.
• Protectmeasurement quality. Maintain housekeeping and lab environmental conditionsthat support accurate, reliable results.
• Strengthencustomer relationships. Build client relationships, resolve complaintspromptly, and review complaint trends to find where the team needs support.
• Driveimprovement. Implement departmental goals, policies, and procedures withcorporate leadership, lead team huddles and meetings, participate in executivemeetings, and champion continuous improvement.

WhatYou Bring

• Required:High school diploma or equivalent.
• Required:3+ years in a supervisory or management role, with proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate teams.
• Required:Knowledge of ISO 17025 requirements for testing and calibrationlaboratories and of quality control standards.
• Required:Financial and business acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, pricing,and strategic planning.
• Required:Experience with enterprise software in a complex organization, supplierrelationship management, and core HR practices such as hiring, training, andperformance management.
• Required:Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and customer service skills,and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in office and lab settings.
• Preferred:Bachelor's or associate's degree, or military training, in measurementscience, calibration, or a related field such as electronics, temperature, orphysical/dimensional.
