Job summary

County of San Mateo is seeking a Division Manager to lead the Disbursements and Financial Reporting Division within the Controller's Office. The role oversees centralized disbursements and financial transactions, coordinating with departments to prepare the ACFR, JPFA, and other required reports, while ensuring compliance with GASB, GAAP, and CFR.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration or a related field.
Five years of increasingly responsible experience in financial, managerial duties in a large public agency, including at least three years supervising accounting/financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Organize, direct, and coordinate accounting and financial operational activities.
Prepare financial analyses, schedules, and reports including ACFR and JPFA.
Coordinate year-end closing activities with Controller’s staff and County departments.
Supervise and support division staff in day-to-day operations.
Develop the division’s procedures handbook and provide staff training.
