Job summary

Monmouth University seeks two Assistant Coaches, Women's Rowing, to assist the Head Coach in administering a competitive Division I program on the Monmouth University campus in West Long Branch, NJ. This in-person role demands NCAA compliance, recruitment of student-athletes, academic support, and event planning.

Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree, have prior coaching experience, and be prepared to obtain CPR and NCAA recruiting certification within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Prior coaching experience required.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations required.
• CPR and NCAA recruiting certification must be attained within six months from date of hire.
• Ability to work evening and weekend hours and travel as necessary.
• Must have an understanding of the University's concern for academics as well as athletic excellence.
• A valid driver's license in your state of residence and have had no serious violations in the past five years.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
• Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
• Must be able to operate a variety of office equipment.
• Basic Knowledge of MS Word and Excel 2016.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach in administering all phases of a competitive Division I intercollegiate women's rowing program in compliance with NCAA, CAA and Monmouth University rules.
• Organize recruitment of prospective student-athletes, academic support, skill instruction, practice, training and event planning.
• Provide public relations and communication duties.
• Create summer programs and assist with community service activities.
• Adhere to Department of Athletics and University policies and regulations.
