Job summary

PulteGroup, headquartered in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Division Controller for Alpharetta, GA. You will lead accounting staff, ensure GAAP compliance, and drive accurate monthly closes and financial reporting.

This role partners with national shared services and division leaders to forecast results, coordinate audits, and strengthen internal controls. A CPA is preferred; a Bachelor’s in Finance or Accounting is required with 5+ years of public or corporate accounting experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting (or equivalent).
  • CPA license (active or inactive) strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years public and/or corporate accounting experience.
  • Good knowledge of GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and supervises accounting staff to ensure adherence to GAAP, strong internal controls, and adherence with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepares and/or directs the preparation of monthly financial reports, including budget vs. actual results, and reviews them with management.
  • Prepares financial forecasts and coordinates with homebuilding functional leaders to prepare and review.
  • Coordinates all internal and external audit requests.
  • Facilitates workflow between National Shared Services and Division operations.
