Job summary

Air Force Research Laboratory seeks a senior leader to guide a multi-disciplinary team in planning, programming, and budgeting for AFRL across leadership echelons. You will oversee governance, strategic alignment, and data-driven investment analyses to support enterprise decisions.

The role requires DoD PPBE familiarity, strong communication, and the ability to influence diverse stakeholders. Occasional travel and situational telework may be available.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• At least 1 year of specialized experience at the next lower grade or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
• Males must be registered for Selective Service.
• Meet applicable OPM qualification standards for the occupational series/grade (0800 or 1515).
• Engineer (0800) ABET-accredited program required; see OPM standards.
• Operations Research Analyst (1515) degree or math/statistics coursework per OPM standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a multi-disciplinary group of civilian and military personnel.
• Oversee end-to-end Planning, Programming, and Budgeting process for executive leadership.
• Direct division efforts aligning AFRL objectives across enterprise.
• Represent AFRL before HQ stakeholders and prepare briefings and reports.
• Establish governance frameworks for planning, programming, and review activities.
• Guide data-informed evaluations and risk analyses for investment decisions.
• Direct execution of the ABC process to balance enterprise capability demands.
