Air Force Research Laboratory in Dayton, OH seeks a senior strategist to serve as the chief advisor to the 711 HPW Commander, guiding long-range strategic direction and synchronizing diverse portfolios across national priorities.

The role leads the Integration and Planning Office, aligning DoW/DAF objectives, conducting strategic studies, and shaping enterprise programming for high-priority efforts.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
• Must obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance for the position.
• Travel and/or performance of additional duties may be required.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the senior strategic advisor to the 711 HPW Commander, defining and guiding the 711 HPW’s long range strategic direction.
• Lead the Integration and Planning Office, operationalizing 711 HPW and TEO intent across diverse technical portfolios.
• Integrate activities with national, DoW, and DAF objectives to ensure alignment with enterprise priorities and mission needs.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of warfighter requirements, national doctrine, emerging trends, and potential disruptions to identify strategic opportunities.
• Drive strategic alignment by facilitating planning sessions with senior leadership and fostering a culture of strategic thinking across the organization.
• Oversee and coordinate programming for high-priority projects, ensuring coherence, traceability, and mission relevance.
• Represent the 711 HPW at Center, MAJCOM, SAF, DoW, and Congressional levels in strategic, programming, and budget planning activities.
