Division Assistant (WHS) 25hrs/wk Grade 3 Effective April 24, 2026

Salary

Grade 3, Step 1, $24.78

General Responsibilities

An employee in this position works with clearly established systems and procedures, must exhibit organizational skills and exercise independent judgment and confidentiality in performance of duties. Must exhibit initiative and embrace a collaborative team approach to accomplish the mission of the district.

Qualifications
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have physical ability to lift/move supplies, materials and office equipment up to 40 lbs.
  • Must sit at workstation for extended period of time and/or move frequently from workstation to various other areas of building.
  • Must organize and prioritize workflow.
  • Must be proficient in the use of computers, office practices, procedures and office equipment.
  • Must project a positive image of the district to students, staff and parents as well as exhibit a positive employee attitude.
  • Must demonstrate appropriate interpersonal skills, and communicate clearly and respectfully with students, staff, parents, visitors and the general public.
  • Must have awareness of a variety of student needs including physical and social emotional needs.
  • Must be self directed, flexible and have excellent multi‑tasking, analytical and problem solving skills.
Position Expectations
  1. Assisting the division staff in the efficient and effective functioning of department including, but not limited to:
    • a. maintaining and facilitating all aspects of the departmental areas including budgets
    • b. assisting with class coverage and providing substitute teacher support
    • c. performing other administrative duties related to the division
    • d. developing basic knowledge of software usage to support staff and students
    • e. possessing the ability and willingness to learn and implement all appropriate school technology
  2. Performing tasks to support the Assessment Center.
  3. Supporting the Division Head by scheduling activities and maintaining the division calendar.
  4. Assisting, as needed, with the school registration process.
  5. Participating in appropriate professional development activities in order to enhance job performance.
  6. Cultivating and developing inclusive and equitable working relationships with staff, students and community members.
