Job summary

United Contractor Services in Kennesaw, GA seeks an estimator to own Division 8 and 10 scopes from initial look through bid award. Division 8 work focuses on doors, frames, and finish hardware, with attention to hardware sets and schedules.

You will price accessories and coordinate with the project team to ensure accurate bids. This is a numbers-and-details role; you will review drawings and specs, verify compliance, and assemble proposals with clear inclusions, exclusions, and assumptions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years estimating commercial Division 8 and/or Division 10 scopes, Division 8 priority.
• Comfortable reading architectural drawings, door schedules, and specifications.
• Knowledge of fire and life safety code requirements as they apply to openings.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs.
• Solicit and compare vendor pricing to optimize cost and lead time.
• Identify value-engineering options with real numbers.
• Assemble proposals with clear scope language and exclusions.
• Turn over awarded scopes to Project Managers with pricing basis documented.
• Build relationships with suppliers and reps.
• Stay updated on product changes and code revisions.
