Boston University Diversity & Inclusion (BU D&I) seeks an Assistant Director to advance programming and communications across BU's campuses. The role develops a DEI strategy, oversees six faculty-staff networks, and partners with communications for newsletters, social media, and website updates.

The position is in-person in Boston with potential for remote work two days per week; requires 3–5 years in DEI in higher education and a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred).

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of professional experience in higher education or related field; master's preferred.
• Extensive knowledge about diversity, equity, inclusion, social justice, and intersectionality.
• Excellent communication skills to express ideas clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.

Mansioni

• Design and implement diversity-, equity-, and inclusion-related educational opportunities for the entire BU community.
• Oversee and advise six faculty-staff networks, and collaborate with campus units to support programming efforts.
• Liaise with communications partners to oversee the unit's communications strategy, including newsletters, social media, and website management.
• Collaborate with the Senior Vice President of People, Belonging, & Culture and report to the Director of BU D&I.
