Job Description
Position Summary:

The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Curriculum Coordinator serves as a strategic and collaborative leader responsible for advancing inclusive educational programming, equitable practices, and a strong sense of belonging across the school community. Working in close partnership with academic leaders, educators, students, and families, this role helps ensure that diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) principles are thoughtfully integrated into curriculum design, teaching practices, student programming, and community engagement.

This is a part-time, in-person position beginning in the 2026-2027 Academic Year. The successful candidate will report directly to our Upper School Division Head, and work in close collaboration with the Senior Academic Leadership Team, across all lower, middle and upper school divisions supporting all academic departments.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Collaboration, Program Design and Curriculum Development
  • Partner with academic leaders to institutionalize best practices for inclusive educational programming and pedagogical excellence, including standards-based curricula mapping
  • Lead Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) coordinators in the implementation of DEIB related curriculum and programming.
  • Collaborate with educators to provide academic, emotional, and social support for students and families.
  • Provide resources and guidance to educators for integrating diverse concepts, texts, and perspectives into classroom teaching.
  • Create, develop, communicate, and implement a coherent, thoughtfully aligned schedule of DEIB programming for the student and family community (e.g. heritage months, community gatherings, Seeking Educational Equity & Diversity (SEED), etc.).
  • Collaborate with the Director of Talent Management to design and facilitate Professional Learning Communities for all staff and faculty.
  • Design and lead professional learning that strengthens inclusive pedagogy, equitable practices, and cross-disciplinary DEIB integration.
  • Oversee and lead the implementation of student affinity and alliance spaces.
  • Organize and chaperone student attendance at regional diversity conferences.
  • Work with academic leadership to measure and analyze data about the student and family experience and identify areas of progress, targets for improvement, and next steps to drive the attainment of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging goals.
  • Work with the Carroll Family Association (CFA) to ensure a strong, inclusive community for parents/caregivers, partnering with the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity Alliance (IDEA).
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and knowledge within DEIB or social justice-related context, ideally within a school context.
  • Highly relational leader, with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Student-centered, team-first approach to learning and support.
  • Proven experience in designing curriculum, building staff capacity in DEIB topics and concepts, and teaching students between the ages of 6 and 15.
  • Systems thinker with the ability to develop, scale and sustain equity practices and policies, while also balancing day to day tasks.
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning and personal development.
  • Ability to manage complexity with compassion, discretion and sound judgment.
  • Strong facilitation skills; SEED facilitator training preferred.
  • Ability to ensure that all constituencies are valued and seen as their authentic selves
Salary:

This is a Part-time position 0.6 FTE.Exact salary offered is dependent on educational credentials and years of experience.
