Job summary

Chicago Public Schools seeks a SPED Teacher for grades 4-5 at South Side location (Ludwig van Beethoven Elem) to deliver specialized instruction and manage progress, assessments, and behavior in coordination with a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires a valid Illinois ISBE teaching license with LBS1 endorsement, a bachelor's degree or higher, and the ability to create and monitor IEP goals in alignment with state guidelines.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
• Illinois State Board of Education teaching license with LBS1 endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Instruct, progress, track and discipline all students in assigned classes.
• Collaborate with case managers, counselors and general education teachers.
• Set goals for IEPs and monitor student progress per Illinois guidelines.
• Maintain a respectful, inclusive classroom culture and safety.
