Job description

Responsibilities
  • Perform underwater and topside tasks assigned by the project, including dredging, burning, welding, drilling, and concrete work.
  • Operate small equipment and tools, providing routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned gear.
  • Report defects or needed repairs to the project Foreman, Superintendent, General Superintendent or Safety Director.
  • Follow company and OSHA safety procedures and bring concerns to the attention of the appropriate supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean job site, pick up material, tools, and small equipment, and secure the jobsite to eliminate potential hazards each day.
  • Support other craft workers as needed and perform any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Junior college or trade/vocational training with two to three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Dive Certificate from an accredited diving school.
  • O2 Administrator, CPR, and First Aid/AED certifications.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with internal coworkers, management of all levels, customers, and clients.
  • Ability to complete on‑job training and read and understand site plans.
  • Problem‑solving ability and willingness to assist in solutions to unexpected issues.
  • Dependable attendance and consistency with the required schedule.
  • Willingness to travel and to work long hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Must be able to pass a pre‑employment drug test.
Physical Demands
  • Manual work requiring periods of extensive physical exertion.
  • Potential exposure to adverse weather conditions, including rain, snow, wind, cold, and heat.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, sit, stand, walk, bend knees, stretch arms, stoop, kneel, talk, and hear.
Work Environment
  • Regular exposure to environmental conditions and noisy construction sites near machines.
  • Frequent variable weather conditions impacting work.
