Job summary

UC San Diego’s Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences seeks a Division Director of Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility. The role combines clinical leadership with research oversight, guiding IVF, fertility preservation, and reproductive biology programs while mentoring the next generation of physician-scientists.

The appointee will maintain active clinical practice, lead innovative research initiatives, and contribute to the department’s national prominence.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent degree required.
• Board certification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) required.
• Five years of leadership experience in an academic medical center.
• Current clinical practice experience across full spectrum of REI care.
• Five years of leadership experience in an academic medical center and five years in academic medicine.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Division Director of REI with strategic vision for patient care, research, and education.
• Oversee clinical programs including IVF, fertility preservation, reproductive surgery and associated research initiatives.
• Mentor faculty, fellows, residents, and students; recruit and develop academic leaders.
• Advocate for investments in faculty development, clinical growth, and research infrastructure.
• Collaborate across UC San Diego Health and university partners to advance national prominence.
