Requirements include being highly qualified with one of these options: two years of higher education coursework (60+ credits) with transcripts, an associate degree or higher with transcripts, or a passing score on the MN ParaPro/ParaEducator exam.

Requirements:

Must be highly qualified, providing supporting documentation, having 1 of the 3 listed below:

• 1. Completed two years of study (equaling 60 or more credit hours) from an accredited institution of higher education (Transcript).
• 2. have an Associate's degree or higherfrom an accredited institution of higher education (Transcript).
• 3. Obtained a passing score on the MN approved assessment ParaPro or ParaEducator exam, both measuring math and reading skills (Certification).

Compensation: Substitutes are paid at step 1 of the classification they sub for.
