Zusammenfassung

Currituck County Schools Central Office is seeking a K-12 Director of Curriculum and Instruction to lead districtwide curriculum planning and instructional support. You will collaborate with school leaders, teachers, and district staff to align curriculum, assessment, professional learning, and school improvement efforts to boost student achievement.

This role reports to the Superintendent and supervises Curriculum and Instructional Coaches.

Qualifikationen

• North Carolina teaching license.
• At least five years of successful teaching experience.
• Master’s degree in education preferred.
• School-based administrative experience is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Oversees the District Curriculum Strategic Plan (implement, monitor, evaluate, revise).
• Lead the Curriculum and Instructional Coaching Team in developing and revising curriculum guides, task analyses, and assessment items.
• Provide weekly professional development to the instructional coaching team.
• Work with principals, teacher leaders, and district staff to support school improvement planning and implementation across schools.
• Coordinate districtwide professional learning aligned with the district curriculum strategic plan, vetting, adopting and purchasing curriculum, identifying instructional needs, and monitoring effective classroom practices.
• Collaborate with staff to develop local benchmark assessments and help educators analyze assessment results and identify strategies to improve student achievement.
• Stay current with research and developments in curriculum, instruction, assessment, and early literacy, including participation in relevant professional organizations.
