Job summary

Orange Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Inclusion Specialist to lead district-wide implementation of inclusive practices and support teachers and paraeducators in delivering accessible instruction. This one-year, grant-funded position emphasizes collaboration, scheduling innovation, and sustainable systemic change.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's in Special Education or related field and a valid teaching license; a Master’s degree is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education, General Education, Educational Leadership, or related field; Master's preferred.
• Valid state teaching license or certification.
• Experience with inclusive practices and supporting students with intensive needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead district-wide implementation of the Inclusive Intensive Support Network.
• Provide coaching, technical assistance, and professional development to teachers.
• Design inclusive scheduling and coordinate schedule design with leadership and counseling teams.
• Facilitate collaborative planning between co-teachers, specialists, and general educators.
• Provide paraeducator coaching and training to support student independence and inclusion.
• Support schools in developing actionable strategies for meaningful participation of students with disabilities.
