Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analysis, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 7 years of district management, data analysis, strategic planning and execution experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads districtwide efforts to ensure the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness of data used for state reporting, funding, accountability, compliance, and strategic decision-making.
• Develops a comprehensive understanding of how student, staffing, financial, programmatic, and operational data move between district databases, applications, reporting systems, and state systems.
• Partners with Finance, Data & Information Systems, Information Technology, Human Resources, academics, Exceptional Education, Career and Technical Education, and other departments to identify and resolve complex data and reporting issues.
• Conducts advanced quantitative analyses, advanced mathematical, statistical, and operations research using data from multiple systems to identify discrepancies, anomalies, trends, and potential risks related to funding, accountability, compliance, or district operations.
• Investigates discrepancies between district source data, state-reported data, funding calculations, accountability results, and other external reporting to determine the underlying cause and appropriate corrective action.
• Evaluates the potential financial, accountability, compliance, and operational impact of identified data issues and communicates significant risks and findings to district leadership.
• Leads root-cause analyses to determine whether identified issues result from data-entry practices, system configuration, business rules, system integrations, organizational processes, training, policy, or other factors.
• Develops dashboards, reports, visualizations, and other decision-support products.
• Support data-driven process improvement and provide analytical and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Monitors landscape of district data and users to determine needs and develop reports or processes.
• Maps and documents critical data flows and business processes to identify gaps and other conditions affecting data quality.
• Designs and implements routine validation, reconciliation, exception-reporting, and quality-control processes.
• Leads cross-functional improvement projects from problem identification through solution design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
