Job summary

This position will serve the Southeast regions which include the following counties: Bradley County, Grundy County, Hamilton County, Marion County, McMinn County, Meigs County, Polk County, Rhea County, Sequatchie County.

The anticipated starting annual salary for this position is $67,764.00 - $80,000.00.

This position is a field service position that will require daily travel to the school districts in the Southeast Region, and in-office days will be required.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and four years of experience in teaching, education administration or education consulting.

Substitution of Education for Experience: Additional graduate coursework may be substituted for the required experience, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of two years.

Necessary Special Qualifications:

• Possess a valid drivers license.

Overview

The Regional Data Analyst is responsible for supporting districts within the region and Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE) staff by providing strategic data analysis and decision-making support. Specifically, the Regional Data Analyst helps districts effectively use data to make informed decisions that improve student outcomes. In partnership with district leaders and regional CORE consultants, the Regional Data Analyst diagnoses challenges, develops plans, supports implementation, and monitors improvement efforts designed to drive academic success.

The CORE regional support team focuses on helping districts strengthen three key areas: instruction, assessment, and curriculum. CORE consultants support districts by assisting with the diagnosis, planning, implementation, and monitoring of improvement strategies aimed at enhancing student outcomes. Through this work, consultants help districts build coherence across their systems by fostering alignment among organizational culture, structures, processes, resources, and stakeholders to support sustainable improvement.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships and partnerships with district leaders and TDOE department leads.
• Facilitate root cause analysis discussions to pinpoint the reasons why instructional practices are in place and set goals for improvement.
• Facilitate planning conversations to determine strategies that may help a district meet the goals it has determined because of the root cause analysis.
• Provide differentiated support to assist districts in implementing their plans aimed at improving systems and structures for using data for continuous improvement.
• Support districts in setting clear benchmark indicators and monitoring the progress of their improvement work.
• Collaborating with TDOE department leads on the creation of resources and materials to support district improvement.
• Collaborate with CORE regional support team to coordinate support for districts.
• Engage in learning opportunities to continuously improve individual and group performance.
• Demonstrated record of success in improving student outcomes (preferably at the school or district level).
• Experience leading and managing projects and/or teams (preferably at the school or district level).
• Experience coaching others for improvement.
• Demonstrated success in building relationships with other educators and leaders.
• Experience leading adult learning and ability to communicate with teachers, principals, and district administrators effectively in individual, small group, and large presentation settings.
• Capacity to leverage internal and external networks to engage in team problem solving.
• Self-motivation to actively participate in solving problems, sharing trends and best practices, and contributing to the work of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfort with regular travel throughout the CORE region, and willingness to attend meetings statewide as needed.
