Job summary

Palomar College is seeking a Manager, Technical Services and Support to lead day-to-day operations across district technical services, service desk, and end-user technologies. The role involves coordinating with multiple campus locations, budgets, and contracts, with responsibilities spanning procurement, resource planning, and cross-department collaboration.

This full-time, exempt position requires travel to Palomar’s campuses (San Marcos, Escondido, Rancho Bernardo, Fallbrook) as needed, and

Qualifications

• Five years of network and/or technical services experience including two years of supervisory experience.
• Education: bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. Coursework outside US must be evaluated per US standards.

Responsibilities

• Manages, plans, coordinates, and administers day-to-day operational activities for technical services and support.
• Oversees budgets, contracts, procurement, and human resources coordination for service delivery.
• Directs service desk operations, endpoint services, and classroom/AV support to ensure reliable end-user technology.
• Coordinates with other department managers to ensure continuity of operations and service delivery.
