Job summary

Clear Creek Amana School District is seeking a Substitute Teacher to provide instruction across PreK–12th grade during teacher absences. You will follow established lesson plans and maintain classroom routines to support academic progress.

The role involves district-wide availability, collaboration with administrators, counselors, and staff, and maintaining records while protecting student confidentiality. Iowa licensure with Substitute Authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Appropriate State of Iowa Licensure including Substitute Authorization Certificate.
• Experience in classroom teaching PreK to 12th grade preferred.
• Initiative to be a self-starter.
• Intuitive to the needs of students.
• Flexibility in assignment given.
• Ability to use good judgment.

Responsibilities

• In the teacher's absence, follow the lesson plans provided to ensure programming.
• Follow behavior management plans for students.
• Assist and collaborate with administration, school counselor, staff, parents and students on academic achievement and social/emotional/behavioral goals.
• Maintain appropriate records and protect the confidentiality of data.
• Report to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis.
• Other duties as assigned.
