Job summary

The Nashua Board of Education seeks a 0.8 District Wide Special Education Paraeducator – Intensive Needs for the 2026-2027 school year at New Searles Elementary School. Under teacher guidance, you will support instructional activities and assist with IEP goals to foster student independence.

Starting pay is $19.94 to $27.27 per hour, with placement based on prior experience. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; Title 1 schools require an associate degree or paraeducator

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Title 1 schools require Highly Qualified Status with an associate degree or NH Paraeducator certification.
• Ability to support instruction and testing under teacher direction.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and reinforcing instructional curriculum under the teacher's direction.
• Help prepare and administer testing and provide input on student performance.
• Support development of social-emotional and behavioral skills to foster independence.
• Assist with IEP goals and district-wide special education programs as needed.
