Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required for all paraeducator tracks.
• Title 1 schools require Highly Qualified Status (Associate's Degree or two years of college, Bachelor’s degree or Paraeducator II certification).

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and reinforcing instructional curriculum under the classroom teacher's direction.
• Help prepare and administer testing, provide input to teachers, guidance counselors and administration regarding student performance.
• Support preschool, Kindergarten/ELL and Special Education instructional paraeducators in their duties.
• Assist with IEP goals and objectives to foster independence and address educational needs, social-emotional and behavioral development.
