Job summary

Albemarle High School in Albemarle, NC is seeking a School Nutrition Floater to rotate across district kitchens. This full-time, 10-month position (30 hours per week) reports to the School Nutrition Director and includes full benefits.

The role requires reading recipes, measuring ingredients, operating a serving line, and maintaining food safety standards. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of basic math for recipes and time calculations.
• Experience with kitchen equipment and food handling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow recipes; weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
• Portion foods and serve on serving lines; refill pans as needed.
• Receive and store inventory; report equipment repairs as needed.
• Clean utensils, equipment, lines, floors, and prep areas; wash dishes.
• Follow HACCP food safety and sanitation guidelines.
