Job summary

Christian County Schools seeks a substitute cook/baker to prepare, cook and serve meals in district facilities. You will assist in food preparation, maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen, and help supervise student workers as needed.

The ideal applicant has a high school diploma or GED, can pass criminal background and health checks, and completes required training for school food personnel certification. This position is district-wide and based on school-site assignments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a G.E.D.
• Must meet the requirements of a criminal record check as specified by Kentucky State Law
• Must meet health requirements as specified in the district personnel policy
• Must complete training course for certification of beginning school food personnel as prescribed in 702 KAR 6:045

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, bake and serve a variety of foods in quantity at an assigned school site.
• Assist in other food preparation duties as directed.
• Maintain facilities in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Train and provide work direction to others.
