To qualify, candidates must hold a Texas Mid-Management/Principal Certification, a master’s degree, ILD and TTESS certification within 90 days, a Texas driver's license, and fingerprinting clearance. Prior secondary admin and teaching experience are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited university required.
• Valid Texas Mid-Management/Principal Certification.
• ILD and TTESS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Fingerprinting background check required.

Responsibilities

• Provides instructional leadership, resources, and materials to support teaching staff in accomplishing instructional goals.
• Determines and builds a common vision with staff for school improvement; directs planning activities and programs.
• Defines expectations for staff performance regarding instructional strategies, classroom management and public communication.
• Observe employee performance, record observations, and conduct evaluation conferences with staff.
• Make recommendations regarding personnel placement, transfer, retention, promotion, and dismissal.
• Comply with district policies and state/federal laws affecting schools.
• Develop and administer the budget; maintain fiscal control and report financial information.
• Use assessment data to improve performance and inform decisions.
• Lead professional development and address challenges facing the profession.
• Maintain ethical standards per Texas Educators code of ethics.
• Complete designated district technology proficiency annually; basic tech skills required.
• Use district systems and emails; maintain professional demeanor and appearance.
• Ensure compliance with Educator Ethics; daily attendance and punctuality required.
