PediaStaff is seeking a flexible Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a district-wide float pool serving the Tacoma area. You will provide essential nursing services across multiple school settings, adapting to varying needs and programs, including JBLM locations when eligible.

Qualifications

• Active Washington State LPN license in good standing.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to meet Washington State background check requirements.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing environments.
• Previous pediatric, school-based, community health, or public health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to students in accordance with physician orders, district policies, and state regulations
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor and assess student health conditions
• Respond to student health concerns and emergencies
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers
• Support the implementation of student health plans and accommodations
• Follow infection control procedures and nursing best practices
• Promote student wellness and health education initiatives
