Job summary

The Tennessee Education Association (TEA) seeks a UniServ Coordinator/Field Organizer for District 8, covering Cumberland, Fentress, Knox, Loudon, Morgan, Pickett, Roane, Scott counties, and nearby communities. The role focuses on growing membership and engagement, providing training, and supporting local leadership across TEA/NEA programs.

Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree (Master’s preferred), reside in or near District 8, and be prepared to travel extensively and work irregular

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master’s preferred.
• Must reside in or near District 8 and have valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel within assigned areas; long irregular hours required.
• Preference for public school teaching experience and local organizing skills.

Responsibilities

• Build stronger local associations by increasing membership and engagement.
• Provide training, consultation, and resources to local leadership across TEA/NEA programs.
• Develop relationships with local leaders and school district officials to strengthen organizational capacity.
• Represent TEA positively at meetings and events and support advocacy and governance activities.
