Job summary

The Phoenix Department of Transportation is seeking a Traffic Design Team Lead under the general direction of the Traffic Engineer Manager. The role directs project design activities for a design team within the department, managing resources and administrative needs.

Responsibilities include overseeing development of traffic engineering documents and standards, coaching staff, evaluating training needs, and representing the group at meetings with other sections and outside agencies.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an Arizona Civil Engineer or able to obtain within 6 months.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
• Experience equivalent to Transportation Engineer I.
• Arizona driver's license with 39-month driving history.
• Experience in project and personnel management.
