The Texas Department of Transportation is seeking an entry-level District Sign Tech to assist with installing, repairing, and maintaining traffic signs, delineators, and related hardware in the district. You will follow specific instructions and standard practices under close supervision.

Duties include inventory management, sign maintenance, operating a sign truck and bucket truck, and performing foundation work with concrete.

Formación

• District Sign Tech I-V: No formal education required.
• Substitutions for experience may be allowed via college education or relevant training.

Responsabilidades

• Assists maintenance crews with sign maintenance and related work.
• Moves equipment, tools, and materials as part of daily tasks.
• Installs roadway signs and delineators in accordance with MUTCD guidance.
• Operates a sign truck and related equipment for installations and repairs.
• Maintains inventory of signs and performs preventive maintenance on sign vehicles.
