Our District Support Pharmacists (DSPs) play a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence within each pharmacy by acting as role models, demonstrating genuine care, and setting high standards for the pharmacy team. As a DSP, you will support our pharmacy teams by covering pharmacist scheduling gaps, under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager (PM) and Rx District Leader (DL). You will work across stores in the district, supporting pharmacy management, oversight, and operations.

1. Living our purpose by helping manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizations.
2. Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled, overseeing pharmacy operations, and acting as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during shifts.
3. Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by adhering to workflow procedures and safety protocols.
4. Assuming Pharmacy Manager duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty.
5. Contributing to positive patient experiences through empathy, collaboration, and proactive issue resolution.
6. Offering and delivering immunizations, supporting pharmacy technicians in immunization procedures.
7. Managing pharmacy inventory effectively, with a focus on cold chain products and best practices.
8. Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs, fostering a safe and inclusive team environment.
9. Maintaining clinical and technical skills, seeking opportunities for knowledge expansion.
10. Supporting clinical services like testing and prescribing (where permissible) to enhance patient care.
11. Understanding and complying with all relevant laws, regulations, standards, and CVS policies to ensure safety, privacy, and a respectful workplace.
