The District Support Pharmacist (DSP) plays a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence within each pharmacy. They act as role models, demonstrate genuine care, and set the bar for the pharmacy team. As a DSP, you support pharmacy operations across the district, covering scheduling gaps, supporting pharmacy management, and ensuring safe, effective patient care.

1. Support patient health management through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizations.
2. Travel within the district to fill pharmacist shifts, overseeing pharmacy operations as the proxy for the Pharmacy Manager during shifts.
3. Ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy procedures and safety protocols.
4. Assume Pharmacy Manager duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty.
5. Contribute to positive patient experiences through empathy, collaboration, and proactive issue resolution.
6. Support immunizations and assist Pharmacy Technicians in immunization delivery.
7. Manage pharmacy inventory, focusing on cold chain products and inventory best practices.
8. Maintain clinical and technical skills, seeking opportunities for continuous learning.
9. Support clinical services such as testing and prescribing (where permissible) to improve patient outcomes.
10. Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and ethical standards to ensure safety, privacy, and an inclusive work environment.
