Job summary

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, Inc. in Terre Haute, IN seeks a District Team Leader to oversee store operations across Indiana and Illinois districts. You will direct and support store leadership teams to achieve sales, inventory, staffing, customer service and profitability.

Lead planning, coaching, and development, ensure hiring standards, labor efficiency, shrink reduction, and compliance with policies; travel within district for meetings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years retail supervisory experience in a mid-size to large retail service-oriented business.
• Ability to manage in a professional work environment and communicate with associates.
• Strong planning, prioritization and implementation of detailed instructions.
• Ability to learn, communicate new information and processes to associates within standards.
• Understanding of selling and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Financial oversight of all sales and profit goals.
• Develop and implement strategies for merchandising and store standards.
• Execute programs for inventory control, shipping/receiving, labor efficiency, expense control and shrink reduction.
• Achieve operational excellence with regard to KPIs and business results.
• Develop and implement plans to maximize sales and profit district-wide.
• Ensure policy compliance through regular store visits and cross-functional partnerships.
• Develop and support a team-oriented environment with Store Team Leaders.
• Coach, train and develop Store Leaders; supervise performance.
• Oversee hiring needs including recruiting, interviewing and selecting candidates.
• Encourage participation in Ollie’s Leadership Institute and Employee Referral programs.
• Identify skill gaps and provide appropriate training to leadership.
• Motivate and inspire Team Leaders and Associates.
• Collaborate with Merchants to ensure inventory at store level.
• Manage turnover, shrink and safety through company programs.
• Strategic district planning and forecasting.
• Timely, accurate reporting; implement company initiatives and strategies.
• Complete additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.
