Job summary
BlazerJobs, Inc. is seeking a floating paraprofessional to support students with special needs across multiple school sites within a district. This contract role guarantees hours each week and offers collaboration with dedicated education professionals.
You will implement BIPs, assist with student care needs, and travel between elementary, middle, and high schools, providing flexible 1:1 and classroom aide support. Strong communication and reliability are essential.
Qualifications
- Qualified paraprofessional with either 60 college credits or passing MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam
- Experience in school settings, especially with students with behavioral or special needs
- Willingness to support various elementary, middle, and high school sites within crews
- Ability to assist with all student care needs, including toileting
- Reliable transportation to travel across district
- Strong communication and comfort in 1:1 and classroom aide roles
Responsibilities
- Fill in for classroom staff absences in SPED classrooms across grades
- Implement Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs) and manage challenging behaviors
- Collaborate with district staff and supervisors in assigned crew
- Respond to callouts and support a wide range of special education students
- Maintain clear communication with teams across different school environments
